During Covid-19 crisis I was invited to show a work
in a project space which due to corona restrictions could
only be seen from outside the gallery window at night.
Two Liquids processes this strange and uncertain time
in form of animated liquids that spread, first in a geometric
and limited way, until they overflow uncontrollably and
take over the wall surface.
Isolated by the window, the projection could only be
perceived through the window glass, in which the lights
and reflections of the surrounding area gathered.
Two Liquids responds within the animation to the
surroundings, their colours, forms and sizes.
It blends in, but at the same time contrasts to the
surroundings, assimilates, and forces them into
a visual deformation.

Während der Covid-19 Krise wurde ich eingeladen einen Projektraum mit einer Arbeit zu bespielen, die aufgrund der Beschränkungen nur nachts durch das Schaufenster betrachtet werden konnte.
Two Liquids reflektiert diese seltsame, ungewisse Zeit in Form von animierten Flüssigkeiten, die sich ausbreiten, erst geometrisch und begrenzt, bis sie schließlich überlaufen und unkontrollierbar die Wandfläche erobern.
Durch die Schaufensterscheibe isoliert, ist die Projektion nur durch die Scheibe wahrnehmbar, in der sich die Lichter und Reflexionen der Umgebung treffen.
Two Liquids nimmt diese Umgebung innerhalb der Animation wieder auf, in ihrer Farbgebung, Form und Größe.
Auf der einen Seite integriert sich Two Liquids als Teil der Umgebung, hebt sich jedoch gleichzeitig von ihr ab, eignet sie sich an und zwingt sie in eine visuelle Deformation.
